TROOP 90 LONGMEADOW
Hello Scouts,
Pretty soon we will be at summer camp and therefore I have put together some information about for the arrival day and a list of things to bring.
You should arrive on Sunday, July 16th, 2017 at Moses Scout Reservation at 1pm. You will be directed to the parade field when you come in, we will be as every year at the Saratoga camp site. So if you want you can go there from the parade field to the camp site and drop off your gear. As the troop we will be meeting at the Pavilion at the Parade field for check in.
Important: If you haven’t turned in your medical forms yet, you need to bring the form for check in on Sunday or you can’t stay at camp!
Also we will have the swim test that afternoon and it will be helpful to wear your swim suit already and have a towel and something to change into in you day pack.
After the completed check in we will set up tenting arrangements, camp site, fill out blue cards and assign you to your patrol. Also I will let you know about the duty roster for the week. The official camp program will start as follows:
- 5:45 pm for Colors
- 6:oo pm for dinner
- 6:45 pm for final MB sign up
- 7:30 Waterfront Orientation (mandatory)
- 8:30 opening Campfire
Don’t forget its superhero’s theme this year! Bring something that turns you into a superhero. Superhero day will be all day Friday the 21st
Departure/release from Camp on Saturday July 22th, 2017 will be at 10 am, for the parents the parents it might be of interest to be part of the closing ceremony which starts at 9:45 am.
See you again on the 16th for some fun days at camp!
